An online multiplayer naval combat game, where you can captain an Orc, Dwarf or Human warship on the open sea, with free-for-all or team based matches. Developed by Forthright Entertainment and Tideturners, I worked remotely on several development teams at Tideturners for a their internship program. Mainly, I hopped between the UI/UX and Game Design teams, adding functionality to new game UI and balancing game stats on the design sheets.
I held the roles of Junior Game Engineer and Designer at Tideturners handling both front-end game blueprints and back-end custom C++ classes. Because Tideturners was a small indie studio, I wore a lot of hats, and didn't mind jumping into help every week in a different pod.
First UI Pass
I added the functionality for this First UI Pass (bottom left), but we ended up reworking it as we wanted the different stats of the player's ship to be clearer to the player on which represents which.

We wanted to create a new design that reflects the player ship's stats in a less screen cluttering way. The stats being:
- Hull Health
- Sail Health
- Crew Health
- Armor Health (Port, Starboard, Bow, Aft)
- Cannon Reloads (Port, Starboard, Bow, Aft)
