Better Days is a fully developed narrative walking simulator made in the Spring 2023 semester for the Major Studio Spring course at the NYU Game Center. Made in Unity 3D, the player plays in a first person perspective as Justine Heron, a girl who just returned to her small hometown after college to see it suffering drastically from a debilitating financial crisis.

Better Days is a melancholic narrative walking simulator. You play as Justine Heron, a girl who just returned to her small hometown after college.
The town is dying. Its streets are boarded up and almost empty, with only a few of Justine's old acquaintances and family still staying there.
Some people in this world believe that Aleo, a giant creature with mystical powers to multiply wealth would eventually save them from this crisis. If people feed him enough - Aleo might one day eliminate all of their needs and create a prosperous world for everyone.
But Justine doesn't want to wait. Can she convince her loved ones to leave the town with her? Or will they stay and spend their lives in blind belief in Aleo?
