IVY UNDERGROUND is a stealth-strategy game that explores a young generation’s frustration with lack of action during the climate crisis through the eyes of the 3 characters in the player's party. With an 8 person team (we actually started with a lot less) and a bit over a year in development, this was our Capstone game to end our time studying Game Design at the NYU Game Center.
I joined this team 3 months into the beginning of their development as their only UI/UX designer, along with dabbling in some technical art if needed. Our goal was to stay on theme of the game, and have the UI reflect its distinct punk aesthetic.

Gameplay trailer

You control a group of activists investigating the origins of a widespread illness in the small town of Revelations. Throughout their journey, they unearth parts of their home's history through stealth operations and—when necessary— fighting to protect the people they love.
Our game dives head-first into the multi-layered nature of the crisis: who faces the brunt of the consequences versus who is responsible; how we damage our homes versus what we can do to heal them. How far do we have to be willing to go to make change?
